Please join us as we welcome Barbara Hamachek for a very special presentation and hands-on workshop illustrating the history and art of Sogetsu Ikebana. Barbara is a long-time student and certified instructor of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. The brilliance of nature has captivated Barbara throughout her life and leads her to approach the art of Sogetsu arrangement for its beauty, creativity, and quiet focus.

During the free, 45-minute presentation, Barbara will share Sogetsu’s origins and history and will bring the philosophy of Sogetsu to life through a live demonstration. Following the presentation there will be a hands-on workshop during which guests will learn the Basic Upright Style to create their design. Barbara will offer guidance and critique to support guests in gaining a deeper understanding of how to embody Sogetsu principles.
